What to do when you migrate from your AS/400...
Your DocManager (formerly
Spyview) system currently holds copies of documents (e.g. sales invoices) which, in some instances, you are legally obligated to keep available for at least 7 years from their date of generation.
In the event you migrate away from AS/400, you are still required by law to
keep that information available. Rather than keeping the data on your own AS/400, which carries a hardware, support and knowledge overhead, the data can be transferred to a hosted system in our data center for long term archival.
Your users are then given secured access via an internet connection, enabling them to view and reprint the documents as needed.
There are numerous financial and organizational benefits to this approach, and this service has proven very popular with businesses which have made the strategic decision to leave AS/400, yet understand their legal requirements to keep archives to satisfy HM Customs and other authorities.
